Philip received his undergraduate degree in Accounting from Brigham Young University. He then received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Tennessee where he won the American Jurisprudence Award.
Philip is a Certified Public Accountant and he frequently presents seminars for clients, attorneys, CPA's and other professionals on Estate Planning and Estate Protection. He is a co-author of two books related to Estate and Business planning: Generations, planning your legacy and Strictly Business, planning strategies for the small business owner. Phil is also the author of Sophisticated Estate Planning Strategies for the Advanced Practitioner in Tennesse.
Phil is a member of the American Bar Association and its Real Property, Probate, and Trust section. He is also a member of the Tennessee State Bar Association, the Knoxville Estate Planning Council.
He is a founding member of WealthCounsel and Wealth Counsel Advisors where he serves as the President of Wealth Counsel's MidSouth forum. Philip is also a member of the ElderCounsel and he is a Department of Veteran's Affairs Accredited Attorney and a member of AVAAP.
